Game #7 4/28/66 @Boston
The Celtics raced to a 10-0 lead to start the game & the Lakers were never able to catch up. The score would never be tied after the 1st basket. Elgin Baylor only made 1 of 9 shots in the 1st half and went to the locker room with only 2 points. He came alive in the 2nd half, but Boston still led by 19 points, 59-40 with 9:59 left in the 3rd period. Satch Sanders picked up 3 quick fouls and then picked up his 5th early in the 3rd quarter. L.A. rallied to but seemed sunk when Sam Jones hit a 25-footer with 0:25 left as the shot clock wound down. L.A. closed to within 95-93 with 0:04 left (the closest they had been since 2-0) but would not get a chance to tie. This game also featured the 2nd fewest total assists in an NBA Finals game.
