Game #1 4/12/52 @St. Paul
The game was played under protest by the Knicks after a strange incident. Dick McGuire was fouled by Pep Saul driving to the hoop and the ball went in the basket, but was not seen by the referees. Lead ref, Sid Borgia, would not allow the basket. McGuire made only 1 of 2 shtos. The protest was disallowed, but not after game TWO on April 15th. The Lakers survived a 4th quarter rally & won in overtime. Jim Pollard scored 7 of the Lakers’ 12 points in OT. George Mikan fouled out with 1:52 left in regulation.

Game #7 4/25/52 @Minneapolis
The Lakers controlled the game pretty much from the outset as New York’s only lead of the game was 3-2. The Lakers shut down the Knicks as New York only made 10 shots from the floor in the first 3 quarters of game. Minneapolis used a flurry of hoops in the 2nd period to build a 34-22 lead. The game got rough as Harry Gallatin & Vern Mikkelsen were given a double foul while George Mikan & Dick McGuire were assessed technical fouls after their exchange. Pollard scored all 10 of his points in the 4th period as Minneapolis nailed down the
title.
