The Royals built a 14-point 2nd quarter lead despite sub-par halves from Bob Davies & Risen. 10 Knick turnovers helped Rochester hang on to the halftime lead. Nat Clifton fouled out with 5 minutes left in the game, but N.Y. continued to rally. They took a 74-72 lead with 2:00 left in the game. Rochester countered to take a 75-74 lead before Vince Boryla tied at 75 with 59 seconds to play. Davies hit 2 free throws after a Dick McGuire foul with 0:44 to play. The Knicks could not convert and Jack Coleman converted a Red Holzman pass to seal it for Rochester with 2 ticks left.
