ABA ALL STAR GAME
1/23/71 @Greensboro
The West built an 18-point lead,
92-74, in the 3rd period, but the East closed the 3rd with an 18-5 run. The
rally, fueled by Mack Calvin & Cincy Powell, ensured a down to the wire
game. The West was leading 122-121 when Barry converted 2 free throws to give
the East a 123-122 lead. After getting the ball back, Barry hit a shot to give
the East a 125-122 lead. Mel Daniels, despite being on the losing side, was
the MVP after a huge game.
